Need to know who puts out a better book on a Digital Camera Gary Friedman or David Busch? Wife purchased the new Sony 7lll and both authors wrote books on this camera and Bush's sells for around $40.00 and Friedman's is around $60.00. They are both 600 plus pages thick. Alright people which would you purchase?
And if your wife doesn't like it you blame the UHH members. Nice!

Gary Friedman writes some of the best photography books I've ever read. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the David Busch publications that I've read.
Go to the Gary Friedman archives on the Internet and you can download the Sony 7III eBook for $31.95.

I like Friedman’s other books. He generally used interesting and sometimes inspiring images while offering practical advice.
No idea on Busch.

Well, she had a women's idea. After reading all of the posts she will make the decision on the book. The problem is l have Both authors books on the Sony a99m2 camera. They both have different aspects that they cover and they cover it well along with being easy to understand. So l can cross reference material between authors if l have questions on a certain subject.

Not sure if this helps. I recently purchased a Sony RX10M4 and having been a long-time Nikon DSLR user, I felt like a "Stranger in a Strange Land" trying to use it. I found an excellent collection of 3-6 min videos on YouTube that addressed everything that I needed to know. They were thorough, concise, and the best part - free!

Knowledge is not predicated on the number of words or pages.
I have Busch's books for both of my Canon's and find them well written, humorous at times with full color photographs of the subject being explained. They have an excellent 'index' which will get you to where you need to go in his tomes quickly.

Brown truck delivered my a99m2 yesterday afternoon; an upgrade from a 77m2. Still trying to make progress with Sony's terrible Instruction Book. Purchased from Adorama, Used, in Excellent+ condition.
I know purchased Busch's book $39.00 on the Sony a99m2. Great book for the camera. Also Gary Friedman has a book for the same camera. His book sells for $53.00. Found them both on amazon.com.
