Lee filter loder or Nisi holder?
The price $90 different , which one is better, Nisi looks more solid than professional - little heavy !
the quality of glass Lee - Nisi ???
100x100 is this my choice so far , also what consider me the distance between a holder and glass -(light leaking ?)
Appreciate for advice 🙂

Check out Breakthrough Photography (Google it). Their filter holder is well constructed from aluminum (NOT plastic) and only costs $49.00. You will also need (as with any filter holder) an adapter ring. Theirs are very reasonably priced at $7.00 for aluminum and $15.00 for brass. I recommend brass.
I am very pleased with mine.

Lee Filters are excellent, their Big Stopper is a bomb. Lee's filter holder is crap, and the threading on their adapter rings are substandard.

I too, recommend the Breakthrough X100 filter holder.

I have never heard of Nisi, so I can not say anything about their products, I have had Lee filters and I did not liked them, changed to Singh Ray and I'm happy!

I have used both, the big problem with the NiSi system is getting the filters. you can get the basic stuff, but the specialty filters are harder to get. The advantage of NiSi is that their polarizer filter can be rotated independent of the filters in front of it and is placed in the back of the holder. And the NiSi basic filter holder can hold up to 3 filters, one more than the Lee unless you add to the Lee.
The Lee has many more choices and their filters are sometimes less expensive than NiSi.
If your only going to shoot ND filters, NiSi is the way to go.
If your going to get into all the special filters, go with Lee.
Both have good quality glass. The NiSi filters are coated to help prevent scratches.

The breakthrough tech holder is very nice, reasonable and the easiest one I've had to mount.

Breakthrough. I have used it and Lee. Both about the same, Breakthrough is half the price. And their filters do not have the color cast that Lee does.

I really like the design and build quality of the NiSi filter holders. They also built one for the Nikon 14-24 that is very clever and reliable.

Why do you want a filter holder for an ND filter?

Why not just get round, screw in filters instead?

I don't know what size filter you need, but for example...

$49.... 100mm Breakthrough filter holder
$7..... 77mm filter holder adapter ring (aluminum)
$15.... 77mm filter holder adapter ring (brass)
$179... 100x100mm Breakthrough X4 0.9 (3-stop) filter
$189... 100x100mm Breakthrough X4 1.8 (6-stop) filter
$199... 100x100mm Breakthrough X4 3.0 (10-stop) filter

Yes, those are multi-coated, German Schott glass filters.

But so are the following round filters (no filter holder or adapter rings needed)....

$64..... Formatt-Hitech Firecrest ND 0.9 (3-stop)
$121... 77mm B+W 103M MRC filter (3-stop)
$147... 77mm B+W XS-Pro 803 0.9 Nano MRC (3-stop)
$159... 77mm Breakthrough Filters X4 ND 0.9 (3-stop)
$164... 77mm Heliopan ND 0.9 (3-stop)

$64..... Formatt-Hitech Firecrest ND 1.8 (6-stop)
$135... 77mm B+W 106M MRC filter (6-stop)
$142... 77mm Heliopan 1.8 ND (6-stop)
$162... 77mm B+W XS-Pro 806 1.8 Nano MRC (6-stop)
$169... 77mm Breakthrough Filters X4 ND 1.8 (6-stop)

$74..... Formatt-Hitech Firecrest ND 3.0 (10-stop)
$100... 77mm B+W 110M MRC filter (10-stop)
$160... 77mm Heliopan 3.0 ND (10-stop)
$173... 77mm B+W XS-Pro 810 3.0 Nano MRC (10-stop)
$179... 77mm Breakthrough Filters X4 ND 3.0 (10-stop)

Round filters such as these allow use of the standard lens hood (square don't).

The B+W, Heliopan and Breakthrough X4 use brass mounting frames, which are less likely to get stuck on lenses.

The Formatt-Hitech Firecrest, B+W XS-Pro and Breakthrough X4 are 15-layer or 16-layer "Nano" multi-coated, which are more water/oil/scratch resistant. The others are 8-layer multi-coated.

I also found multi-coated, Schott glass being used in Aurora-Aperture, Vu Sion, and Formatt-Hitech Firecrest Ultra ND filters. Haven't used any of those brands, so can't really comment.
