I have been thinking about getting a Canon Speedlite 430EX III-RT, but a lot of reviews states this flash overheats often (as few as 10 shots). Has Canon corrected this issue?

Been using mine for about four years, primarily for high school reunions which involve 150 to 200 flash shots. Never an over heat.
But that's just one person's experience.
Been thinking about this too. Thanks for the topic, I'll be sure to watch it.
Not true, I use three daily and never an issue. If you use off camera it is to your advantage to us multiple flash. The 430EX III-RT is actually the best option for most photographers because of size and versatility. Two 430's at half power will out perform a 630 by a long shot and there is only a $25 difference.
Question: The flash can overheat under WHAT conditions? A rapid 10-shot burst? Does that stress a flash? Does firing repeatedly without fully recharging between shots do harm to the flash?

I used two for focus stacking and found them overheating after 40 to 50 pictures at 15 second intervals.
I’m no flash expert that’s just my experience.

Been using one for 6 years or so, never had a problem with it. I don't recall it ever over heating.
