ronsipus :

May I disagree? That is NOT so much the face of age, but the face of a very hard life. This is the face of 'age' (80 years), and while I haven't had it easy, by any means, I never had to wonder where my next meal was coming from. The photo you presented looks like someone who literally had to struggle on a 'Day-to-Day' basis for Life itself.
The photo, however, is quite good.

Thank you for your comment. I find it interesting how we all physically show age, experience and hardship differently. Genetics, attitude, environment all seem to play a role in how we find ourselves at each stage of life.

I really do appreciate your thoughtful remark!

A masterpiece, ronsipus! Your caption is appropriate for this portrait. The hint of a smile adds a special touch. If you have any other pictures taken at the Cowboy Festival, I'd lie to see them.
Would you mind telling me what your 'real' handle is?

Thank you for the affirmation of the shot. I do have other shots and would certainly be willing share them.

I really do not care that others use one, but for me, I find it unnecessary to have a "handle", thus the use of my name - Ron Sipus.

Thanks for giving me your handle. I had no way of knowing ronsipus was it. I'll be watching for more of your posts, Ron.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful shot. The "hint of a smile" on the cowboy's face in fact demonstrates, to me at least, a satisfaction of a life well lived.

I like this a lot! It has a really nice feeling of, humility? Cant get the right word to come to mind. A man who is very comfortable within himself and has a kind spirit. Very appealing.

I respectfully disagree with you. The cowboy’s face is obviously an aged one. Aged faces come in all sizes, shapes , and degrees of weathering. Moreover, I don’t think it shows any sense of poverty at all; it instead shows weathering of working outside all his life. It is what it is, and it’s portrayed well.
