If anyone remembers George & Gracie, LI's favorite Osprey pair.... well, sadly Gracie didn't return, but George found a new love... Jane!!
Three eggs were laid and the first hatched 7/1/18

You are so welcome... I've been following them for three years and when Gracie didn't show up this year, we all got worried, but George has a new mate and they seem happy!!
Enjoy the view.... it's very exciting!!

I don’t think there is any way of knowing, they shuffle the eggs around. Will have to wait and see.

Very interesting Angela, thanks for posting. Took some shots of osprey nesting boxes in the Robinson Preserve located in Bradenton, Fl. about a week ago. Will post some images soon. They were about 35' from the ground and some were being used.

Thanks, Don, for checking this out.... I know you're going to enjoy getting up close and personal in this nest... especially when the other eggs hatch!! The first time I watched, 3 years ago, they had 3 chicks and of course the runt got picked on daily.... so sad, I would cry all the time and then he passed....
Looking forward to seeing your ospry shots, they are such beautiful birds and when you watch what they have to deal with, it makes you appreciate them more!!

Take care!!
