lightroom issue-retrieving files

have files in a folder but when i try to export them it says files cannot be found!...how can i retrieve these important pictures?

Have you watch any of the Adobe videos on LightRoom4? Have you reviewed any at youtub? Lots of good answers. Vidow will also save you a lot of time/stress.

This make no sense. You are viewing the photo, have one your PP and are trying to save it but it can't be found?

i was trying to export it. i actually figured it out. not sure what i did but its working. thanks

Probably what has happened is that Lightroom can no longer find your originals. It is showing you a preview of the file, but the real file has gone somewhere and LR doesn't know where. This can happen if you move files around without using the LR interface to do it. If there is a "?" in the corner of the preview, LR is telling you that you need to re-link the file. Right click on the preview and if I recall correctly, one of the options will be something like "show in exploreer" or maybe "find file" or something like that. This will let you put things right again. ( I am sure there are other posts here in UHH that are more explicit about the process)
