The Cathederals Express
Jul 1, 2018 09:08:26   #
John N Loc: HP14 3QF Stokenchurch, UK

The Cathederal's Express was so named because it connected the Cathederal Cities of Worcester and Hereford with London (Paddington) on the G.W.R. (God's Wonderful Railway) or Western Region as many know it. This Steam Special was supposed to be hauled by the 'UNION OF SOUTH AFRICA' but for reasons unknown to me (probably maintenance) was replaced by a vintage diesel.

This is either a Class 33, 37, or 47 but I'm not a bona fide trainspotter so couldn't tell you which. I spent some time scouting this location and was reasonably happy with the result but think the sharpness could still be bettered.

It is smoking almost as much as a steam engine. Thanks for sharing anyway John N.
