You mean the hobbits and their fellowship could have just taken a highway on their quest? I think they had a Honda--it says "They set out on their journey in one Accord."

I drive that road every two or three weeks to visit daughter and family in Dannevirke. I live in Wellington. Mt Bruce has some wonderful bird life.
