A classy pelican portrait

I love taking what I call portrait shots of my nature friends and they seem to like posing for me as well so it's a win for both of us! Taken with a Nikon D7000 and Tamron 150-600mm at 600mm shot hand held.

Brown Pelicans in breeding plumage are one of my favorite birds to photograph. You did a great job with this one. Love the background. Makes it.

I could tell you that I brought him into my studio and that is the background I used but since I do not have a studio I will just tell you that is the marsh grass behind him. I agree and really like the background also.
