ADD WIFI TO AN OLDER CAMERA TO TRANSFER PICTURES
I have a camera 5 years old is Olympus SP 800 UZ
Is it possible to add a WIFI Feature
I know I can buy a new one what that feature.
Nevertheless, can you gurus answer this question?

it is much faster to use a memory card reader, even it is possible.

Encrypted WIFI is MUCH slower than reading a memory card!

I'd recommend one of these. https://www.amazon.com/USB-Type-Card-Reader-Tablets%EF%BC%88Silver/dp/B0736LD8YD/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1530185834&sr=8-4&keywords=seenda+card+reader

Or you can start a kick starter account and form up a company to make one.

Canon makes a WIFI adapter SD card. There is also an EYE-FI of the same design.

I have the EYE-FI and it works rather well.

👍👍 Yep. Fast transfer, good range, live view and camera control as well. I have tried the EyeFi card in my 5D3 and was underwhelmed. Limited range, intermittent connection and slooow transfers (and no camera control), but the metal body of this camera could have been contributing to its limitations.

Canon cards won't work with his Olympus camera. They don't even work with many of Canon's own cameras.

That is why I suggested CamRanger as it does a lot and works with most any DSLR so it protects your investment long term; both in hardware and in knowledge of how to use it. I shoot tethered with Lightroom with my setup. Not super fast but OK and easy to setup and get working.

Canon sells some WIFI gear but a lot if it seems very expensive for what it does. I think the WIFI for my camera is about $600. Some Canons have built in WIFI, but I don't know what other brands offer in WIFI.

I think Eye-fi card was what I meant.
