Chelsea, Madison & Carley
Were you using the bounce card as in the other photos you posted? I think it's very good for fill flash. It's a nice composition. The flannel shirt that the tallest young lady is wearing seems out of place with what the other two young ladies are wearing. The red bench is so loud. Another wooden stool or a wooden chair may have been better.

The little one Carley lives with us, the other two Chelsea and Madison just came to visit for a week or so. Chelsea almost always wears a flannel shirt, who knows what motivates teenaged girls. No bounce card, this time I used a Godox AD600 strobe with a SMDV 70cm softbox. Camera in aperture priority mode and strobe in TTL. I was trying to get their heads all on a different level. So, I used what was handy. I have a 10ft by 20ft gray back-drop, my original plan was to drape the long end of the back-drop over the stools. But the girls had sort-of spread out in the family room and we had to move things outside.
OK GRANDPA! Lovely grand kids and again good fill lighting and background treatment! Since you organize theses family shots, get the kids to wear solid or at least more coordinated colors. Try for a grouping that creates a triangular pattern. Get those legs out sideways to create base. Nix that bright little bench- look for solid dark colored props- find a tree stump, log, old fence etc.
I know- kids don't listen to anybody...you may need to resort to bribery! One of my granddaughters loves to pose- the othere two net some more incentive.
Good luck!
I think the exposure and the girls' expressions are lovely. However, placing the girl sideways on the red stool seems rather peculiar to me.
