I think that is what it is, I'm not a bug expert. Enlarge and check out the construction of the body on the dragonfly. I think honeysuckle may be my favorite flower.

The construction of the dragonfly body is a marvel indeed. Yours is a male Blue Dasher, and the first looks like a Japanese beetle to me. All beautifully detailed shots.

Fabulous dragonfly on the double download! the joints are so well made to give it the flexibility. I love the colors too. Especially the eyes. All round good set!

Great pics! Check your BBee for a Carpenter Bee; Xyelocopids have bare abdomens, BBsd usually hairy.

Thanks, I check that out. I'll look for activity and holes in the wood fence by the bush it was on.
