Night Fog

I had been working on night photography and playing with light in my back yard when one night this beautiful fog rolled in. I learned a lot that night and was very happy how these turned out. Some of the first photos I have done that I considered to be art.

The download is needed to get the full effect. And very effective it is. Since the objective is to get a soft mist scene you would get away with using more denoise.

One of the joys of photography is being successful in a new venture, and one of the joys of a photo forum - IMO - is recreating (remembering) the "firsts" through other folks' experiences. Thanks so much for sharing these engaging images, Keni. I'm particularly drawn to #2. The color of the light is so interesting against the dark trees. Lots of depth too; I'm drawn right in to the mystery.

Since these are some of your first photos that you considered to be art, welcome to a joyous journey you are about to begin. The road may be rough at times, but there will be some smooth roads as well. The road to success is always under construction. I like both images, but I'm favoring the first one most. Looking forward to seeing more.

Thank you RG. I didn't have much experience with pp when I did these and didn't think about noise reduction. I should go back and look at some of my other earlier stuff with a new eye.

On another note when I first saw the word "denoise" in your post I thought, "I don't now that term. Must be French. Another thing to research."

The first especially has a fine center of interest and a good complement of colors.

Thank you Linda. When I get frustrated with something I am currently working on I go back and look at some of my previous success stories. It helps to get that little glow again. I think that the act of sharing your art is just as important as creating it.

Dave thank you for your encouragement. I have been really drawn to your photos and style since I joined FYC. Much appreciated.

Thank you Bob. The light in the center makes me think of the movie Poltergeist and the little creepy woman saying "Go into the Liiiiiiight".

Nice! I like doing this in a nearby graveyard. You can only guess at what the camera will give you.
