I spent 4 days on Los Galapagos. Saw lots of stuff. Cloudy skies most of the time. I'm afraid you might be seeing lots of these, so let me know if you get bored! I actually tried some BIF! Not totally successful, but for someone who normally gets only a black blob, I'm pretty pleased!

Wow...what an exciting trip Kathy...and you even found some Blue-footed Boobies

I did! Thanks to one of the fellows on that tour. They were way off the path and I would likely not have seen them but for his sharp eyes. Thanks!

Very enjoyable series Kathy, brings back happy memories! I wonder if the prints belong to a Condor they are enormous birds, I saw a pair when I was there. Did you see the iguanas spitting the salt out after they came out of the water? At first I thought they were spitting at me!

Didn't see any condors. But that's a very possible suggestion. Their talons would be that large. Saw lots of iguanas but none leaving the water. Most were in lounge mode or working their way to the dunes.

Thanks!

Thanks for sharing those photos, I am also planning a solo backpacking trip there in this October.
How many islands did you go?
I have the Nikon D610 with a walk-around 24-85mm. Do you think I need my longer zooms which are Nikon 70-200mm and Tamron 200-400, they are not the fast lens?

Frankly, I intended to have both my 28-135 and 28-300. But somehow I missed packing the 28-135. So I used the Tamron 28-300 for everything. It's neither the fastest nor the sharpest. I used the full 300. Larger animals are fine at shorter distances, as you're normally as close as 2 meters. Birds are frequently far away.

I didn't even take a tripod. Probably should have, but it was one more thing to carry.

We were in bed by 9, so I really don't know. The stores are open quite late and a friend said bar-hopping was fun. Other than that, I'm not sure.

Thanks, MT. So nice to have you take a look. The footprints were really cool! I did lots of pelican shots, as they are one of my favorites.
