BNSF on the north side of the Columbia River Gorge going thru a tunnel in the flood basalt. The layers of the flood basalt I guess are about 1,000 feet thick at this point.
Great contrasts in the rock and the grasses, and of course the BNSF orange really pops. Don't know if you're a train person or just saw a nice opportunity, but those "earthworms," long trains of reddish brown grain hoppers, make great subjects. Thanks for posting!

I like that! I am partial to train images that show them where they operate, so this hits me in my sweet spot.
I'm certainly not an expert train person but I do like them, especially the "steamers" and the smell of their coal smoke.
