My 1st attempt at a photo download ... only JPEG this time
Worked all day trying to get a RAW to download, but not go. So, here is a jpeg -- I hope.
Really like my grand daughter's expression.
She is fierce! Good picture.
Looks serious!
RAW will not display and there is a 20Meg file size limit I believe.
She takes softball seriously -- like her mother. Team is the Cheetahs, so it all fits.
Thanks. That explains the inability to download the RAW.
First, good photo.
Secondly uploading files to UHH require that they be jpg. Those will automatically be turned into a thumbnail if you click on the (store original) box in the attach file part of the post form. Other files can be uploaded, but will only display a Download link and people will have to download the file to view them on their local systems.

I would Not like to be the pitcher facing her, she’s a gamer!
Nice sharp pic.
Gonna rip the hide right off that ball. Good photo. vz
Love the concentration!
More re raw: an unedited raw file will be of little value here, one reason being folks won't be able to view it without special software, but also, raw files need to be "cooked" to look their best. There is no point in sharing an unedited raw file except when requesting edits, help with fixing exposure issues, that sort of thing.
If you
did edit it, then you would do "save as" jpg and share that one. Maybe this one is it?!
Thanks for the info on the RAW download. I'll remember to do jpegs. Might even get some good advice on how to improve. Always looking for pointers to improve the photography.
RAW will also not display for others you send it to. They must have the appropriate RAW converters for the proprietary RAW format your camera shoots and uploads to your computer.
A reason I don't shoot RAW and don't post process RAW for the last five years. Unnecessary for my needs. I can set custom profiles in my camera (4 on Olympus and 7 on Fuji) and can further post process Jpegs just as much as I need to. It's a personal decision that works well for me.
My ROT on this, after 5-7 years processing RAW and then dropping it in favor of JPEG.
I you like general photography and image capture in the field, Shoot JPEG (or film), whereas if you like being a slave to your computer, shoot RAW.
You may find differently. This post is my general opinion on RAW/JPEG/TIFF. I do have two camera's that output TIFF.

Not to be mean. This photo is not that sharp. Looks maybe there was hand shake, maybe turn up speed a little and adjust ISO a little also to be able to set shutter speed higher. This is a really nice shot, she does look intense!! Thanks
Tom
She is out to kick butt! And in her cheetah socks, too! Great image!
Was taken hand-held from the visitors' dugout. Had it set on auto. I did crop it from a landscape to show just my grand daughter.
I'll try to do better in the future.
Thanks.
If you are referring to her hands and the bat -- she is just about to swing.
