I would venture to say residents of one particular state would know.
Yup, that's what they are lined up for, that object with the triangle on it at the far end of the pic.

Dang! You guys are good.
Didn't get chance to get a picture with that marker. We were with the trolley tour. Also wanted to see Dry Tortugas (one of the magical destinations) which is a "stone throw" away but didn't due to time constraints. Here's a closer view of the marker:
We were down there Christmas week last year. There is a lot to see & do there, the weather is fantastic & you don't have that rush here, rush there feeling! I definitely want to go back. And, yes we stood in line to get our photo with the marker, it took about 15 min, I spent 10min of it showing the lady behind us how to use my camera. :)

And I though it was for their welfare checks.
These are photos I took in that location in March and December of 1988. There were no lines, I was the only one there. In between the two photos, I rode that 1980 Suzuki GS450S 30,000 miles through 49 states, but I took the right side mirror to Hawaii where I rented a motorcycle and rode around Oahu, so, at least part of the bike and all of me rode through all 50 states in 1988. (Wow! Has it been 30 years??) We followed 3 rules: 1) no interstates 2) no restaurants 3) no hotels, motels, or campgrounds. It was a great year!

OMG! 50 states in 1 year on a Suzuki?. I'm impressed. Is that the one with ad that says, "Let the good times roll?' Me? Let me count. I think 11 states in my lifetime, so far. BTW, looks like someone added the line, "90 miles to Cuba" in the interim.
@Sunnely - It was an awesome year, which has affected the rest of my life. I also noticed that the buoy had been painted during the 9 months of my trip.
When I began, I had already been in all but 9 of the states, but noticed that if I set out to hit just those 9, I'd be pretty close to the rest of them, so I figured to do them all in 1 year, and take a picture of myself in front of all the "Welcome to___" signs of each state.
I also hit all the extremes, such as the southern-most point of the Big Island of Hawaii, the easternmost point of Maine, the North Western-most point of Washington state, the south-western-most point of California, northern-most road point in Prudoe Bay, Alaska, the northern-most part of Maine, both ends of US 1 & I-95, both ends of I-10 & I-75, the southern-most point of Texas, and of course, Florida.

Congrats! A photo of yourself in front of "Welcome sign" in each state. WOW! That's an amazing feat. Looks like not only you've been to each state of but even to the extreme corners of the USA, inter- and extra-continental, as well. This is probably not gonna happen in my dreams even if I try hard.
Thanks for your response. Take care.
PS. Why Suzuki and not Harley? I'm from WI, you know.
