Tamron has had the macro 90mm SP w/VC for some time now....bought mine last year and love it. NPhoto magazine rates it 5 red dots out of 5, best on test compared with other popular brands and models. It is very sharp. I also use it for general tele photography as well. It is an FX lens so will work on FF but currently use it on my 7200. On close up macro it is best to manual focus with it, but works well in AF-S mode. I don't know if they are coming out with a new one but a longer focal length would be nice....hard to improve on this lens. Sometimes Tamron does offer rebate specials on some of their lenses (as this past spring) but I don't know if the 90mm SP lens was included - rebate period over now. But keep eyes open - maybe some good deals on eBay?
