I hope you all are enjoying the start of the summer!
The Pictorial Photographers of America will be running two photo projects over the summer.
Both projects are open to members and nonmembers in the New York City and surrounding areas and are free to participate in.
Project one is:
The Manhattanhenge
The Manhattanhenge, also known as the Manhattan Solstice, is an event during which the setting sun or the rising sun is aligned with the east-west streets of the main street grid of Manhattan, New York City. (Wikipedia)
The next one will take place in July. Here are the dates:
THURSDAY, JULY 12, AT 8:20 PM EDT (FULL SUN)
FRIDAY, JULY 13, AT 8:21 PM EDT (HALF SUN)

Project two is entitled:
A Little Warmth
We would like to see your summer photos that convey A Little Warmth.
Several photos will be selected to be displayed in our newsletter and on our website during the cold winter months to convey A Little Warmth.
Submissions for both projects will be opened until 11:59AP September 3rd, Labor Day.
