Hi Tom: I used the Nikon D4 and was a bit concern on how much noise there was at iso 5000. I guess I expected better at 100%.

Hi friend. It has been awhile. How are you doing? Nice shots. I haven't been doing much (some volunteer shoots that I do for a nearby city). Thinking of doing some landscape work. Going to have a garage sale in the fall and try and sell some of my matted work. What was the lighting like in this gym? Were you shooting at ISO 5000 for these? I am so ready for sports to start back up. Going to go to school and shoot some inside and try and get my settings ready for Gymnastics and Basketball. Keep it up pal, let me know what you re doing. Thanks

Tom

Jules Great Shots!
I love shooting indoor sports with a Nifty 50. It certainly requires some work and access to good positions but it gets the job done. The last two are great. I think the only people who care about noise in a photo are photographers looking at images blown up on their big monitors. If those images were blown up to 24x36 and hung on a wall you wouldn’t even notice any noise.

Thanks for getting back to me. I will figure this out.
