If her looks could kill...

A nearby beach has an Osprey nest atop one of the parking lot lamp posts. You can get as close as you like. The female seems to be incubating the eggs and would periodically fly away for a rest. On her return she would often fly around the nest a time or two before landing. Her approach would bring her close over my head as I tried to keep up with the camera. Only when I got home to look at the shots did I realize that she had intentionally flown over me to check me out. In multiple shots she was very intently glaring at me....quite a frightening stare. Good thing they only eat fish!

Oh, yeah, she wants a piece of you. Be glad it was an Osprey and not a flying mama Bear!

I often feel with these birds that they are sizing you up and thinking, “looks very tasty... but just a bit too big to carry away.”

So true...I also remember her screaming at me as she flew overhead!
Thanks for looking and commenting.

Thanks BBA!

I completely agree...I always think of "Jurassic Park" when I see how efficient and smart hunters these birds are ;-)

She wanted to see what camera you were using. If she did not approve, you may have gotten some plop plops

It's OK...I was wearing a hat and the lens was protected - I had a UV filter on, LOL

Thanks for looking and commenting PixelStan!
