Going to Greece. What lens do I take?
Either buy a fanny pack (or use your purse) and take the second lens or buy a used Tamron 18-400mm lens for around $200.00 on Amazon. I do a lot of traveling, both overseas and in the US and cannot really get by with one or the other of my 18-55mm and my 55-250mm, often for the same shot. For things in the distance, the longer range lens is mandatory and if you are shooting up-close or inside the great cathedrals and ancient ruins you really will regret not having the shorter lens.
Your current kit will handle everything with the possible exception of low light night shots without a tripod. As you are planning to photograph monasteries which can have dark interiors, you can go 2 different ways. Take a monopod and practice taking shots using slow shutter speeds, or pick up a wide or ultra wide angle prime lens. Since dark interiors sometimes force you to use manual focus anyway, perhaps a manual focus only lens with AF confirmation will be a good option. Samyang / Rokinon makes a good line of very reasonably prices lenses. I own a Samyang (same company, same product) 12mm f/2.0 (18mm FOV on your Nikon and my Sony, and it fits the bill nicely without adding a lot of weight to the kit. If you want wide, it is a great lens and is quite sharp. Also consider either a Circular Polarizing filter for those sunny days or a graduated ND filter for the the same purpose. Be aware you will lose 1-2 stops of light (on average) using them. The sling bag mentioned above sounds like the a great choice. Looks like a great trip. Have fun

OK, I know this doesn't help, but I have to say it: A Zeus 10-600 would be a good choice, especially if you go into a labyrinth.
