Thank you mad mike for letting me know about this forum. I am just going to dive right in.
This was a three shot series at 1EV steps. I think this is all my camera will allow. HDR was created in Paintshop ProX4 ultimate. HDR Merge, since I am new and don't really know much about HDR except I think it is an awesome art. I don't know which of the three categories it falls into.
I know it is not perfect but I liked it for my first attempt.

Welcome, it looks like True-HDR. There are a few tricks to getting more exposures, but working with three is normal for most people. What camera do you use?

Great try jfantasma. I see a lot of white noise in the blue sky. Is it apparent in the originals prior to merging? Like most photographs, it needs to be adjusted in a photo editor to make them look good. The sky and water are a bit overexposed and the white clouds are a bit burnt out. And do think about the composition.

Thanks for the critique I do see what you are talking about. I tried to get rid of some of it but actually ended up worse. Some of the white spray from the clouds were evident in the original. Thank you for the advice I will keep that in mind on my next HDR attempt. I am still happy with my first attempt. Practice makes perfect!
Original at proper exposure (according to camera)
