Cookies and Milk

Just playing around to see if I could do it. I discovered it's a lot harder than I thought it would be! I also wish my dad was still here. He loved Oreos. I think he would have got a kick out of these.

Someone is being creative. Nice images. Different from water drops.

I imagine that you took many, many shots of this. Your perseverance paid off, though. They're very good pictures. It was worth all the time and trouble! And thank heaven we can do this digitally now instead of developing the film, etc. (Like the starving painters of long ago who would do a "still life' of fruits and then eat it, I hope that you enjoyed your milk and cookies afterwards!) -- Jackie

Nice images.

I don't get the first photo. The right side is wet, so it hasn't been dropped or dunked, yet dripping milk. Can't figure out what I'm looking at.

It was captured at the tail end of the steam of mik. The majority of the milk already passed over. I wasn't using one of those infra red or laser triggers, but just by trying to time it correctly. The cookie was clipped on a boom arm and my husband poured the milk from about 2' above.

Oh how right you are. I only bought a regular 14oz pack but should've gotten a family size. I only had two cookies left for the bowl attempt. Lucky I got something useable on the very last one. Sadly, the second to last stuck to my husband's milk-damp fingers so dropped to the side and actually hit the edge of the bowl and shattered. I don't eat Oreos (yuck). My dad sure loved them, though. My husband ate about half and my German Shepherd stole one but the rest were tossed out.
