This image is the result of the human not knowing what was going on inside the camera. At first I thought that it was simply a malfunction. A bit later I found that this was the result of blind stumbling around in the menus. In trying to duplicate things, a lot of time was used. Later a couple of others were produced with a lot of failures - I have no idea how it was done :-( I guess note taking will have to be done.
I hope this sort of 'Art' is acceptable.
Well, it has a center of interest, repeating shapes and colors, and a circular composition that holds it together. Based on generally accepted standards and definitions, it would be called "Decorative Art," since it is nice to look at. It does not, for me, show any insights into human nature or the times, usual requirements for High Art, nor does it have the realistic attraction of much of Popular Art, although its attractiveness might qualify it in that category.
Sure looks wild, and most good art started out a bit clumsy in its goals and techniques until repetition distilled it to something special and unique.
Good for you!
Looks like a Milkweed pod with a lot of solarization effects. A bit busy for most I would surmise, but I enjoyed getting lost in the maze for a few moments, so not a complete bust.
In deference to others in the group, this is "usually" where we ask the OP, "How did you do that?" I understand if you can't answer. So, just enjoy it for what it is.

Well, how it works is a bit of a mystery to me. The basic steps were to first start out fiddling around with the Art Filters in camera, then using the multi exposure mode. The camera combined everything together giving the final image. Best done with a low end camera that has a lot of Art Filters, and all auto mode. I seem to get good results with a P&S camera.
The major take away was that the order of the images does make a difference. From playing around the dark images want to be first, and the light ones last. Be prepared to try different settings, and wear out the delete key getting rid of those that just don't look good. This was the first 'mistake', so I am not real sure just what went into it. Just a close look, I think there were five images to form the base image. The base image lacked contrast and saturation, so a quick trip to PSE to fix that little issue.
So far I do not see any way to predict the outcome. Only a lot of experimenting will yield any way to predict the outcome.

Well, I now have a name for this type of image. Thanks!
All I want to know is how did you do this?
Love the effect.

Very different and interesting, what were you taking a picture of?

That is the problem. This image at first was thought to be a camera failure. I was just out and about taking photos. Looking at the image, and thinking back I think the images that made up this image were a blue iris, an orange daisy, maybe a red Izsu Trooper (a nice regular in the area), and a dandy lion seed pod. I was just out for a walk, and had a camera along in case something interesting popped up. When out for a walk about, light weight is an issue. So, the little Olympus goes along. It has a bunch of art filters each with options. Without my glasses, I'm just poking and hoping that I get what I wanted. Turns out that what I got was this image. Totally unexpected.

This image was very much thought to be a mistake. I think it was a combination of multi exposure plus in camera art filters. Only a guess. Later, I have discovered that multi exposure plus art filter gives an interesting result. The result is low in contrast, and lacks saturation. Not to worry, PSE can be used to increase both which helps define the boundary between colors, and up the saturation. Otherwise it is a rather dull image.
