Lithgow Zig Zag (1)

Lithgow is my hometown. In the old days (1950's) we used to ride our cycles up there and play.
In the mid 1970's a herritage railway was installed using narrow guage, 3'6", track and rolling stock/engines from Queensland.
In 2013 severe bushfires destroyed a lot of the line and trains.
It is being rebuilt.

The tracks on the bottom are the existing main line.

Great photos Richard. The Zig Zag Railway was on my list of places to visit until the 2013 bush fires.
