Chinese Crested (hairless version - there are 3 types in any one litter) The dog was apparently bred to help combat the "Black Plague" during the 14th century. The disease was thought to have been carried by the oriental rat flea on black rats on merchant ships. So, no hair, no place for the fleas to hide with dogs there to catch and kill rats. It's also considered to be one of the ugliest dogs in the world. I can tell you, they can be aggressive, have a stride like a greyhound, very hard to train (stubborn) and weigh around 12 lbs. 85mm 1.8
Could this be a relative? I saw this one in Hoi An, Vietnam. I thought it was on its last legs :-)

poor little dogs...................
I think you really nailed the DOF in photo 4. Fur is pretty difficult to get right.
it looks like a relative. They are pretty fragile dogs. They do get sunburn and can't take the cold. The one we had was "pink and slate". They are extremely affectionate and want to sleep under the covers.
What a title. That may be one of the top ten cutest dogs in the world. Great shots
All dogs are beautiful... Love it!
Here's another one we had. Smaller than usual at approx 7lbs. However, neurological issues among other things caused him to be put down at about a year. Not bred well IMHO but these are not easy dogs to find. The first one pictured was from CA and cost over $3,500. As you can see, typically cold and very affectionate dogs with family members.
