That law applies to *unaccompanied* children. Under in previous administrations found foster homes for approx 700 children a year, who arrived at the border with no parent around at all.

Trump (and Sessions, mostly) have decided to reject outright all claims of asylum --- so people who were following US law when they left their country, were suddenly breaking it when they arrived at the border. The parents are immediately arrested, making the children suddenly "unaccompanied". Now, due to the trump admin policy, they are dealing with 700 new children every 10 days.

The Dept of Health & Human Service admits it has no procedure in place for re-uniting children with their parents.

Were those who were fleeing with thier children being responsible parents? I think so! These people are facing the same kinds of horror. If you have children and they were threatened with rape and kidnapping would you stay or flee to somewhere safer? I think you would.

the purpose of the bill did not address families. The bill was passed by a GOP Congress and signed by a GOP President.

You are mistaken or you are outright lying. Prove that claims of asylum seekers are rejected for no reason. You can't it does not happen. Criminal i******s are not entering at ports of entry, thus there is no asylum.

The illegal children cost us over a billion dollars a year. That's just the illegal children.

Since April we have had 50,000 i******s a month pouring in. Another 10,000 in three months that are unaccompanied minors. By August we expect to have 30,000 illegal kids just since April. We pay for all of this.

It would seem to me that the prudent thing to do would be when i******s enter illegally, simply turn them back to the country they are entering from. Do not let them enter. If they are claiming asylum, follow the law regarding that. The law needs to be changed so we do not let them enter. That will keep the families together.
