I have been using LR5 for about 3 years but recently it has started to "drop out" whenever I am using it. I have Ver. 5.7 running on my iMac 21 with current OS.
Anyone had or having this problem?
Any ideas or suggestions.
Thanks for the help.
Perhaps it is time to pony up the meager $9.99 a month for the new and better version, plus Photoshop and a nifty piece of web-based software that is included called Spark, which allows you to create many different graphics, including video and slideshows, which are stored online and you can then share with others. Just a thought.

It may be an OS incompatibility issue, which is a big deal for Macs.

When you say drop out, do you mean the program is crashing? Are you doing some specific thing when that occurs?
I have the same problem. Sometimes it shuts down almost immediately, and other times it stays open as long as I want it to. It’s a problem that has cropped up in the last month or two.
I have recently had exactly the same problems, it just keeps hanging after a short while of using L/R it is driving me bonkers. Any suggestions would be VERY useful. Thank you. I have CC Classic so do pay each month,
