I bought the intuous. Its great, works great, ive used the larger one and didnt like how I had to move my hands .
Now the problem, its VERY hard to use. well not actually hard its just a whole new skill set.
If you use it for one day, then use your mouse, thats an error.
You have to put your mouse in the drawer for a week. dont take it out for any reason.
By the end of the week you'll love the tablet.
Now I use the two together.
Which model do you have thanks for the reply

I thought the larger would be great but ended up selling it and going for the smaller. This was quite a few years ago and when downsizing my living arrangement, sold it thinking I'd get a later model. That's been four years ago and still haven't replaced it but now use a laptop instead of the hulking desktop.
smaller is better as it will require less arm movement to cover the distance and you will be able to primarily just move your wrist to cover the screen....
I own both a Cintiq and an intuos tablet. I occasionally use the Cintiq for heavy photo compositing/retouching and occasionally storyboarding but the rest of the time I use my Intuos for animation, basic photo editing, and video compositing.
