How do most of you distribute your photos and slideshow ‘s to family and friends?
Email, Facebook, and Google Photos for a large group.
I like to stop by the local print shop, and make up several copies of whatever venue I'm shooting. Last week I was at Regional softball Tournaments with my Grand daughter. I left after the games and she rode home on the bus. By the time she got home, I had three copies made of each favorite pics ( more if they were close friends ), and handed her 3 cheap albums. One for her, one for her catcher, one for the coach and several handouts to her friends that night. You never seen such a bunch of excited kids, amazed at how fast one can edit and put together some quick pics. It was about $30.00, but its a hobby, not a business. I've never charged for a picture in my life, and if I did I couldn't call it a hobby, the smiles I get are my pay. By the way they took 1st at Regionals and 2nd at State class-B North Dakota, we had some very excited and appreciative kids.....I've also done this with Family reunions and other events, went to get ice or beer, and come back with photos for the relatives to take home. People love holding pictures, not always wondering if they are going to lose them on their Iphone etc.
Personal website where I can add a dialog, and then for just photograph sharing MSN OneDrive

Old fashioned me makes DVDs containing up to 500 pictures from trips we take.
I put my photos in albums on Flickr and send links to family and friends.
Facebook, and for large batches of family pics, CD. Occasionally print.
I put photos on Facebook and Flickr, on my two web sites, and sell work at two galleries in the town I live in. I make large size "coffee table" books of most trips with full page spreads (using LR and Blurb). Recently I discovered Spark on the Adobe site (I use Adobe products through the monthly fee program). Spark is included with any Photographer subscription. Spark allows you to create items online, the software is web based so not stored on your hard drive) and then you can send out via email, Twitter, Facebook, etc. You can also save a copy to your hard drive. You can make books, brochures for business, posting graphics, and slide and video shows. You have to learn where to click and how to use it as you go, but it's not too hard to do. It's all templates and presets so their are limits to what you can do. I'm including a link here to one piece I created. You might enjoy trying the program out and sharing your results with friends and family. Just go to the Adobe cloud icon and launch Spark to get started.

Dropbox if more than 1 or 2. I'll use email for a small number assuming file size is not a problem.
For single images or small sets, I email or message them to family and friends. In LR, I'll use File > Export and save a moderate size/quality jpeg of my PP'd image(s) to the desktop to make them easy to locate, then I attach them to an email or text message. Sometimes, all I use is File > Email Photo in the LR Library module and let LR and my email app do the work. For large sets, I create a collection in LR of what I want to share, open the collection in LR's Slideshow module and Export to PDF or Export to Video. The PDF or video files can be opened and viewed on almost any device (smart phone, pad, computer, even TV). I can email these files or drop them into Dropbox and share with family, friends, etc. Hope this helps.
Shutterfly! I have been using them since they formed. I find them to be extremely responsive and they have great customer service. I use them to share photos, to build and order photo books, make calendars as gifts and order items with photos on them. For an essentially free service (except for paying for product) I don't see how you can beat them. You can set up a Share site or just E-mail pictures to however large a group you want.
For things that I don’t want distributed, I use Dropbox or FTP. For everything else I use google.
