Does anyone know if Canon is working on a digital camera that can do in-camera multiple exposures? My Nikon friends gloat a little because they have that capability and I don't. I know a lot can be done in post processing, but I miss being able to work with these techniques in the camera.

Check out the Canon 5D Mark III. It does a lot of processing,but I'm not sure of the convenience of making these decisions in the field. Tony Sweet does this all the time with his nikon.

Let 'em gloat. I'd rather do it in The GIMP, where I have more control. "In camera" is not always the best way to go.

What o you mean by in-camera multiple exposures? You can bracket the main setting giving you that. This allows you to get 3 different exposures.

Take a look at the T4i from Canon, It is really a spectacular entry level camera that even does auto focus movies. I have a link from the "Features" page on the Canon website:

multiple exposures and bracketing are two different things.bracketing is three exposures of the same frame.multiple exposures means two or more different exposures superenposed over each other.

I know that bracketing and multiple exposure are different. Before I went digital I had a lot of fun trying out various multiple exposure techniques, including superimposing several different exposures on one frame. I miss being able to do that.

Yes, that's correct. A number of photographers, such as Tony Sweet, have done some very interesting work using this technique. Often the final image looks almost like an impressionistic painting. HDR is quite different.
