The aloes are a fascinating group of plants. While most people are aware of only the Aloe vera, there are many far more beautiful and interesting aloes. This small hybrid developed by Kelly Griffin has fascinating textures and colors (although the conversion to jpg seems to have dulled the colors a bit).

Yes, a pretty one and hopefully not so sharp as the usual aloe vera.

Thanks Douglass, justhercamera and Brenda. Luckily the points tend to be soft. I have to be very careful when transplanting, as the leaves are brittle and more likely to break than poke.
