AftershotPro?

Anyone have experience with this newer Corel
program, formerly Bibble?
Sounds like the ideal and much cheaper
alternative to Photoshop.

I like Elements 10 which would be all I need
except for it's limited use in raw and 16bit

I want to retain the advantages of shooting
raw with my 5DMKII, would like to work in
16bit or better?

Welcome to UHH. Sorry, don't use it.

I've used it for a couple months now. It doesn't really replace photoshop as it's a RAW workflow program. You will need something to work on the TIFF or JPG files it outputs.

I like it, though I have had crashes when working with multiple adjustment layers.

For the money it is a good program. It dose a good job with raw. I agree it wont replace photoshop.

I have both and Photoshop Elements has more capabilities- no question. The old story.. you get what you pay for. Remember one thing tho.. If you need help, use a program more people use and then you will not get the story.. Oh, I don't use that one...

What 'more capabilities' does Elements have
than Aftershot?

I always thought that Elements would be comparable to Paintshop Pro rather than AfterShot Pro.

Aftershot Pro is designed for RAW Processing, and it does a good job at that. There are some creative options and add-ons. But it is not a full image editor like Photoshop or Paintshop Pro.

My mistake- I thought they were speaking of PaintShop Pro...

In what ways is it not a 'full' image editor?
