I'm certainly glad you did, as I missed it the first time around. I believe it to be one of the most amazing images I have seen on this site. Congratulations...
I have been asked to repost my Emerald Bay photo... with the option of viewing high rez.
I’m so sorry for posting twice! My apologies, I am still learning how this site works!
Thank you!
When I see a photo such as yours I react at two levels: my gut immediately says Wow! and then I begin to analyze why and I see the elements that give me that reaction. In your case there is little or no wasted space in this full frame image and the element that ties it all together is the snag and the dead branches that reach into important parts of the image and relate them to one another. In many instances a branch pokes into an area but doesn't quite touch it creating what is known as a tension point and leads ones' eye throughout the photo. I was rewarded with an unsolicited comment when I was behind two art teachers looking at my work and one pointed at one of my prints and said to the other a comment that I think your image shares, "Now that's Art"!
