The limited railway network in the south west of Western Australia is narrow gauge and freight only. Principal freight is grain and wood chip. A large storage and bulk handling facility is located at Albany on Western Australia's south coast where the wood chip and grain a transferred to their respective bulk ships mostly for overseas markets.

I have a question. Narrow gauge means different things. Eyeballing the track in Pic#1, it would seem to be close to "standard gauge". What is the their narrow gauge span?

Thanks for looking JD. The narrow gauge span in Western Australia is 3'6'' (1.067 Metres).
