Someone posted the question yesterday if you can use regular extension tubes on the Lensbaby Composer Pro... as I had never, because I bought the Lensbaby Macro Converters, I had to try... and apparently, it works great and even on the Velvet lenses!!
So if you are interested in getting up close and personal with your lensbabies and all of your optics and don't want to spend the money on the macro converters from Lensbaby... give an inexpensive extension tube a try!!

These were my results with the Sweet 35... I'm sure I can do better without the windy conditions.

I'm not trying to hijack this post Angela but for another answer for the original question for your post. I just shot this with my Lensbaby 85 Velvet with 20 mm Kenko extension tube. Seems to work ok but it doesn't connect as good as other lenses. It has a slight amount of play between the Lensbaby and the tube at the connection. Not sure if light could get in if outside and bright sun.

Not a problem, Jim and thanks for posting your shot, it is light, but I do like it and I'm sure you can do something in post to make it more to your liking... I didn't have any trouble with light using the Composer Pro, but when I use the 12mm on the Velvet, I did get some shots that came out brighter than others, but I contributed that to shooting in bright sun. I don't have any play at all between the lens and the tube and I only have cheap Viltrox tubes that I bought on Amazon from Neewer. Now something else to play with!!! lol...

You must have gotten the same Lensbaby email that I got. lol I haven't tried my Kenko extensions with the Velvet, but it's on my to do list. Beautiful results with your Sweet 35, Angela! Love the selective focus you got by using the extensions.

No I didn't, Donna... someone posted the question yesterday... who'd you get it from? Why didn't I try these before I 'had' to have the macro converter set from lensbaby, they work just as good and if wasn't so windy, these shots would probably be better! Glad you enjoyed them and no go out and try your tubes!!

I guess it's from the LB website. Not really sure, Angela, and they were talking about using the extensions with the Velvets. Didn't mention with a Composer, but why not?! I'm anxious to try them out if it ever stops raining.

I just saw that email today where she used it with the Velvet, but someone posted this question yesterday, so hope he sees the post. Looking forward to your shots!!
