HELP! For a really good cause.

Help, I took some pictures of a friends daughter, who father died by a very unforturnate circumstances. He was a police offices and was injured during active duty from a gunshot wound.

He later became addicted to pain medicine, because the bullet hit him in the spine and left him in cronic pain. Which left him very depressed, because he was on disablility, could barely walk and had no strength left in his body. This was after over a year of rehab. He was usually unable to leave his house with out a wheel chair and because of all the pain he was in.

Under very mysterious circumstances, a gun went off while he was cleaning it, (this is the official police report) and he died.....and I ask that we let it go at that.

The mother has very little money and has raised the children (two of them) by herself. She has gotten some money from his pension and S.S., but it's been very hard on her. She works two jobs, and barely makes ends meet. Lucky for her the Catholic charities have paid for her children to continue going to the private catholic schools.

So this is the problem, I want to make some of the pictures I took of her daughter at the beach better. I need to remove the shadow from the left side of her nose. I still need shadow, just not a harsh shadow.

Can anyone help guide me to improving her photo's, so her mother will have some pictures of her for her senior year in high school?

Anyone interested, who thinks they can make the harsh shadow disappear, I will e-mail them the photo at 100% to work on. Just PM me.

I am posting the photo unedited, and I realize that the eyes need to be whiten, and there is more to edit, I just can't get the harsh shadows to go away.

Please, this child's brother found his father after he died, and the family has suffered so much.

Anyone willing?

If i had the talent I would gladly do it for a fellow officer's family. Unfortunately it is beyond my expertice, but I am going to try anyway. Please pass on my deepest sorrow and respect to the entire family. They will be in my prayers. What a very beautifal young lady, so sad that she had to have this tragedy in her life. You are doing a very good thing rachel!

Little Red Fish.....It's when I read stories like this one that I realise that I have no problems at all. I wish your friend and her family every success and luck in the future. Please post the full size files as I have software (Portrait Proffessional) which will handle the edit really well. The harsh shadows I can easily remove in Photoshop. It would be a pleasure to do it for your friend and may I say she has one BEAUTIFUL daughter. BTW...this is my first time looking into the People forum as I'm quite new to UHH

Hi LittleRedFish,
I thought Id give it a go on the smaller images (it only takes about 10 mins. Just to give you an idea. It will look better on the big file as there are more pixels to work with. Hope this helps.

Wow, those look great, and you did not even have a full qualilty picture to work with.

I also want to thank all the others who PM me and worked on the pictures.

THank you all so much for your time and effort. Everyone added something very special to the pictures. I'm going to show them to Rachel and her mother Starr and see what they think.
