Took this one today on the walk back from school drop off. My goal was to catch the tree beside the pond with the water and lily pads to enhance the shot. I think I missed the mark and did not get the sharpness of the tree--used AF instead of MF and won't do that again. Please provide suggestions. Man setting, f:11, 1/100, ISO 200

I think you're right about the tree, but it's great subject, composition and reflections.

Thanks, this was shot number 1 playing with settings, I liked what I saw but just missed the mark. Maybe if I had turned the camera and narrowed the shot to get less of the other trees in, but kept the pond and reflection. Working to develop my composition eye.

Yeah I did sharpen it up, but I am very amateur and have yet decided on what software I am going to use so for now I am using what came with my T3i.

That does quite a bit to it....brings out the tree nicely and the ripples in the water.

The top of the big tree is crowded to the top of the frame making me want to duck my head before it bumps into the frame and the top of it was cut off totally in the reflection.

The shot does lend itself to a variety of stylized treatments available in most software programs. Water color or Oils come to mind.

The first set of trees was your photo it like you took two photos a verticle of the trees would have done it proud the other lttle lonely tree on the right side of the photo is begging for attention. It looks sharpe but the cdenter of interest in composition failed to be attended to with strong aggressive action/ I would have taken about 20 photos of this set till I couldn,t think of any thing else to do. Digital is not film it,s fdor exploration after all you have 500 to 1000 frames on a card and you and erase and shoot and pick and chose till you got it.

Wow! Looks like a painting. Print it on Giclee and I bet you'll have a very pleasing image with a water-color appearance.

Beautiful landscape! It's even better after the focus was sharpened. Can you remove the tree/pole in the middle? It seems to divide the picture.
