Surfing Australia

I just returned from a 5 week business trip to New Zealand and Australia. One morning i had a couple hours to spare prior to an early afternoon business appointment. It happened to be on the Gold Coast of Australia. I took a walk along the beach and in a very short span of time and space found 3 amazing surf breaks. I did not have my Fuji XT-2 on this walk, only my cell phone. I grabbed these images because I am a former Southern California Surfer and always appreciate Brent Harder's surfing images. In a one mile stretch there were 3 perfect breaks, included in these images. The really amazing thing is that the breaks are so close to the beach you can just walk out to the breaks without endless time spent paddling. These are not high quality images by any stretch. I only want to share for those who are interested in great surfing breaks. Australia has more than any place I have ever seen. The first image shows the VERY touristy town of Surfers Paradise that has built up on the Gold Coast. Fortunately I was staying quite a bit away at Coolangatta Beach. Enjoy

Great looking beaches. Reminds me of the northern Calif coast,which I can never stop shooting every time I lay eyes on it.

Unfortunately I have to attend to my regular business duties. Have not had the opportunity to look at all my shots or even download to the computer. Will certainly keep you in mind when I do, assuming there may be any decent images to post. Great trip though. I was a little mad at myself that I didn't take my tripod, camera and long lens when I was walking along that beach. Had it with me in the hotel but when I set out on the walk I wasn't thinking photos. Oh well. Thanks for your post.

Very nice work! That first capture with the skyline in the background is exceptional.
