....is that if you go up into them, at some point you have to come back down out of them.
The other problem with mountains is that they get in the way of the view.
Great photos. The clouds really make these shots.
These are really nice. Very good work.

As always, thank you ALL for your comments. Srsly!
And as I sometimes am wont to do, a few directed 'replies:'
Keldon - I have a friend who thought mountains spoiled the view, too. But after consulting a ruler and doing some higher math, he discovered he was, in fact, just too short.
Carol - You STILL have NOT returned my cat. Wassup with that???!!!
Vicki - Sure, I hiked around here and there, but the most climbing I did was climbing in and/or out of my Jeep. (I'm tall, but its taller.)
Diocletian - I'll show you everything I know about pgotography if you'll give me your screen name (of which I heartily approve).
Doc - The only rattlesnakes that concern me are those who drive WAY too fast on narrow, blind-curved, washboarded mountain roads. They, too, tend to be 'colorful.'
Very nice shots of "out west". #2 does it for me too. The angle of shot, sky. clouds and foreground. vz
