this bird will pose all day. It uses my deck as a observation post. It is very comfortable around people. i can stand 6 feet from it and it won't fly off.

this brave blue jay . attacked the hawk. dive bombing it. the hawk just ignored it.

fun fact. there is no blue in a blue jays feathers.

True.

But we can always put some in with a little post processing.

Very enjoyable series and commentary.

Please educate me. If it ain't blue in their feathers, what color is it?

the feathers are white / grey . its an optical illusion. no green in a parakeet either. same effect. grind a blue jay feather in a grinder. no color exists. just the feather. not the whole bird please.

I once came across a dead bird. I realized that it was a blue jay but it's feathers weren't reflecting the blue sky.

The photo of the hawk sticking its bill, beak whatever under its wing would make a lovely natural abstract photo. Center it.
