A visit to Slano in Croatia.

I arrived a couple of days ago to steamy, hot Croatia! I am staying in the small village of Slano, located on a bay protected by winds and at times the sea looks like a pond. It has a small harbour. Slano has been inhabited since ancient times. The Franciscan Church and Monastery date back to the 14th century.
It only takes a few minutes to walk around the village that has some derelict buildings.
The word spasilac on the boat means life saver.
Hoping to visit Dubrovnik to climb the steps and walk the old city walls tomorrow.

I told you my daughter is leaving next week for 12 days.... the first 9 they will be living on a catamaran, different spots every day and then staying on land for three.
