Very interesting we learn something new every day. The AAC (Army Air Corp) ran from 1926 to June. 1941. on June 20, 1941 they became the AAF (Army Air Force) till September 1947. And if im reading right which than became the United States Air Force. Source from Wikipedia. I always thought it didn't change till after World War II. Bob
