Ok found a big seed thingy

A few macro shots of this seed pod and some poppies. D7200, Old 105 macro with some tubes and with a 1.4 tele. The seed thing is about 3" in Dia

I find flower parts make an interesting subject, I have been having a play with some today. I like the 4th. best, a pretty shot.

👍 The giant seed pod might be from a plant called goatsbeard. The flowers and seed heads look like giant dandelions.

Another might be goatsbeard's relative, salsify, or oyster plant. And to make things more interesting, they hibridize.Use light coats of cheap hairspray to stabilize, then you can handle them, still gently, tho.
