That TV Show was certainly a good one. I even watched reruns later on Cable TV networks and I still laughed as an adult. Happy 70th Jerry Mathers.

Eddie Haskell (Ken Osmond) is 74 years old now. He and the Beaver were quite a funny twosome as neighbors. Eddie was always the expert on everything? Tony Dow, Beaver's brother, is 73 years old.

Seems to me I recall reading something (years ago!) about Ken Osmond being a police officer in the late 70's / early 80's; might have been the California Highway Patrol but not sure about that. Also that he was actually shot & wounded in the line of duty. Anyone know about that, or is it some more Hollywood Apocrypha?

Actually he was a Sgt with LAPD. Ironically. He also has remained good friends with Jerry Mathers

I read that he was a member of the Los Angeles Police Department. And that he was mistaken for a popular male California porn actor. He was dismissed, because there was a physical likeness. He had to hire a lawyer to prove it wasn't him. His job was reinstated. Some people still said it was him, and he became the brunt of harassing jokes from then on. All of Southern California knew about this story. And were later convinced, that he was not a part time porn actor. As for him being shot and wounded? I'm unaware of that.
