A Pine cone
Its that time of year, the Juvenal Red-Tails are practicing their skills and amusing the neighbors. Better viewed in download, you do not want to miss the look of determination.

Excellent captures, he sure is intense!
Really great photos! So glad it is a pinecone.
Thanks for looking, RE. There is a "flock of Hawk" right now (6 young from three nets) all very interested in exploring their new world. It won't last long but it sure is entertaining now.

Thanks for kind words Katydid, now is not the time to be a pine cone or a stick. "Terror from above" seems to be the rule of the day for twigs, leaves and pine cones.

Hey Robert, what a great observation. There are six of them "hanging out" together right now, what one doesn't think of another will.

Thanks for looking Leicaflex.
Excellent action shots! Amusing, too!
Thanks Jan, I tried to re position for less facial shadow but he would have nothing to do with that. That much bravery and camera shy.
