Hobo and Drifter In The Wilderness
Drifter arrived a few days before Hobo and we were very disappointed that the rain would not stop. Even after Hobo arrivied, the rain continued to pour down. And so, the boys amused themselves for a while with games.

Their board games became bored games after a while. When I found them playing poker with the monopoly money I thought maybe it was time to get them interested in other activities.

While I made them some popcorn and started the movie, everyone found drums and thumped their way across the living room floor. I was very glad to get them settled in front of the computer for a few hours of peace and quiet.

Finally the rain stopped and the boys were willing to put in a bit of time in the garden. Hobo was amazed at the purple beans and found them rather tasty. Unfortunately, Drifter couldn't reach the one he wanted, but teamwork bagged him a bean as well. They stuffed themselves while they were in the garden and I really had none left to prepare for dinner. Thank goodness more will grow, but I'd advise others to keep watch if they head toward your gardens. Both of them have voracious appetites.

Because they worked so hard, I decided it was time to take them into the wilderness and let them have some fun. They fished, they searched for gold, and they swung from grapevines over the swimming hole they found. I was sorry to tell them that the gold they had stuffed in their sacks was nothing more than shiny mica, but they didn't really care. They had fun even though they didn't catch that award winning brown trout they could see swim by occasionally.

After all that fun, Drifter and Hobo were a bit worn out and spent their evening relaxing in the hammocks under the shade tree. They discussed the ones that got away and where they might find a fortune in gold. They made a fire as the sun started going down and roasted hot dogs for their dinner. Marshmallows for dessert topped off the perfect meal. How they had room in their tiny tummies for all that food after eating all my green beans I'll never know, but Hobo did make some remark about growing boys and their appetities.

But, all good things come to an end and my time with these little guys is over. I will be sorry to see them go, but I look forward to hearing of more adventures as they make their way across the country. They plan to travel together until Drifter's path takes him into Virginia and Hobo plans to head on out to California. I think he has a bit of 'gold fever' and is looking to find a fortune for his retirement. All I know is.... they raided my candy jar before they left. Voracious appetites, I'm tellin ya!!!!!

You gave them life. HAHAHAH HOBO AND DRIFTER...
OMG, I didn't want it to end. You sure had a great time with these two. BTW, how did you get both at once? However you did, I'm sure glad, cause I can tell everyone had a great and memorable time! Me included, thank you!
Now, (original) Hobo is on his way to me in Southern California.
Who has the list of future recipient names for Hobo?
It is good to see that they had a good time with you and got to know each other a little before heading on down the road.
Wow Nan nice work how you did it is my guess. Bv
