I've got two older digital cameras that came with proprietary Panasonic batteries. Panasonic no longer makes these batteries. Can someone recommend replacement batteries (from the zillion copycat suppliers) that have a good reputation (and uses Panasonic cells)?

I've been using Lenmar for years and am pleased.
I believe many use Wasabi.
(IF your model requirement is available.)

I would guess that physical dimensions and shape and specific electric contacts design would be first considerations. Then finding accurate ratings per performance might be difficult. We have a local Micro Center and their battery wall has many batteries of different size and shape. They all have camera-compatibility labels.

Thanks. I saw my battery listed by Wasabi and there were good reviews. I might go with them (after any more comments from here).

I have enjoyed excellent performance from Vivitar batteries for my Canon CS T5 and T6, as well as for a pair of 5DM2s.

IMO they perform better than the OEM battery. The Canon LP-E6 are rated at 1400mAh; the Vivitar are rated 2000mAh. The Vivitar batteries are recognized by the Canon software.

Amazon sells the Vivitar two pack for $23 vs the Canon single for $69.

My 2¢

I've had no luck with Vivitar, need to recharged after minimal shots

The batteries with the Panasonic label were made in China, so I doubt that Panasonic had anything to do with making the cells. The only experience I have had with an off-label brand was with a Watson battery that was included as the extra battery ordered with my FZ1000. It works but is only good for about 200 shots. The Panasonic-branded battery that came with the camera is good for 300.

Been using Wasabi batteries in 3 Canon cameras for years. Have never had issue with them in any of my battery grips. Depending how much you use your camera be it 3rd party batteries or name brand they only have so many charges to keep you at 100%. I write the date my batteries when I receive them. After a couple years (sometimes less depending on use) I just replace them. Wasabi prices and quality allows you to replace them without breaking the bank. Buying 4 Wasabi's less than 1 Canon battery. The amount of clicks is about the same.

been using Wasabi batteries in my Canon 7D and 7DII with no problems. I get as many clicks out of them as I do my Canon batteries.

I've been using Wasabi batteries in my Canon and Nikon cameras for several years, with few problems; I did have one older Wasabi battery swell up, making it difficult to remove. For the price they charge, I just threw it away and bought 2 more along with the 110v charger. Still much cheaper than a single Nikon or Canon-labeled battery.

Just my experience, but I have had flawless performance from my Wasabi batteries.
