Handy Dandy RR, Denton. NC
Sometimes we come across railways in unlikely places.
The Handy Dandy RR runs the one mile and half perimeter of the private Denton, NC, park. (

There are steam powered machinery at hand and working, including some steam tractors.
Thanks for taking us there.

My pleasure. We are hoping to go there next month. I'll try to sneak in a shot of a steam tractor in here.

That they do. See
https://dentonfarmpark.com/country-christmas-train/Another thing, some of the folks that show up are the tinkerers. (Think tractor pulling around a dinner table with seating for eight!)
Nice shot, it looks like Howard Latham is the engineer that day.

Unfortunately, we were actually rushing to get aboard before departure. I did not have the opportunity to chat with the crew. After we got back, we had to rush (my fault) to check out the two story baler as they started its sequence. Then all of the tractors, threshers, and the Tinkerer's area. It was a long, hot, and dusty day. But I did not want to miss out seeing the two steam tractors at work. Watched the panic attack by the duo team in undoing all the valves because of vapor lock on the bigger one. They were successful in releasing the pressure. I even sweated for a moment. I have seen several photos of post boiler explosions. But it was a great day at the event.
